The MUDMASTER offers 200-meter water resistance and low-temperature resistance (-10°C / 14°F), ensuring its functionality in diverse weather conditions. It is equipped with a radio frequency reception system that can pick up signals from various locations, including 77.5 kHz (DCF77: Germany), 60 kHz (MSF: UK), 60 kHz (WWVB: USA), and 40 kHz (JJY: Fukushima, Japan).

The countdown timer on the MUDMASTER has a measuring unit of 1 second, with a maximum duration of 60 minutes. The watch also features 5 independent daily alarms and an hourly time signal. It has a full auto-calendar, supports both 12-hour and 24-hour formats, and includes a battery level indicator, button operation tone, and a full auto double LED backlight.

Powered by a Tough Solar power system, the MUDMASTER boasts a high-capacity solar-charging system that ensures reliable and long-lasting performance. The automatic radio wave reception can occur up to six times a day, except for use in China, where it is up to five times a day. Manual reception is also available.

The digital compass on the MUDMASTER measures and displays direction as one of 16 points, with a measuring range of 0 to 359 degrees. The altimeter, on the other hand, has a measuring range of -700 m to 10,000 m (-2,300 ft to 32,800 ft), with a measuring unit of 1 m (5 ft). The watch can store up to 30 manual memory measurements, including altitude, date, and time, as well as auto log data for high/low altitudes and cumulative ascent and descent.
